The project was to construct a two storey extension building, creating 560 sq.m of new and refurbished classroom space on two floors.
It was privately funded by the academy and is attached to the existing Science / Technology wing, within the 9.7 Ha grounds of Accrington Academy. The works involved significant demolition and propping, all of which had to be undertaken whilst keeping the existing school in full operation.
As a turnkey development, the contract included a full fit out of all the new classrooms, including all the laboratory and technology furniture.
