Team Secretary/Administrator

HTC Architects currently have a Part Time Role (3 days per week) working in our busy Leeds City Centre Practice.

What we can offer

  • You will be working alongside the Practice Manager and Architectural Team offering Admin support and Client Secretarial duties.
  • Competitive Salary £20,000 – £24,000 per annum (full time equivalent and would be pro rata) depending upon experience
  • 3 days per week – flexible. To be discussed
  • 20-day holiday (plus Christmas shut down) plus bank holidays, pro rata
  • Pension, Cycle to work scheme, ongoing training, and career progression.

Main Role and responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Client/team secretary – working with one of our key accounts. Managing the Purchase Order process through to Sale Invoicing and various planning to payment stage trackers.
  • Reception and client facing duties as required
  • Dealing with Incoming Calls.
  • General Admin duties, typing documents and ordering of goods
  • Data inputting, excel spreadsheet data reports and Quality Managements system support
  • Other admin task as may arise including postal services, meeting clients, and arranging drinks/lunches for meetings

Skills required

  • Positive attitude, work well as a team.
  • Organised with attention to detail
  • Computer literate with strong knowledge of MS Office including intermediate excel
  • Understanding of Sage 50 Accounts/bookkeeping is an advantage although training provided.

Architectural Technologist – Leeds Office

Location: Leeds / Hybrid working

HTC Architects are seeking a dynamic and experienced Architectural Technologist to
join its growing team in Leeds.

Your Role:

As an Architectural Technologist, you will play a vital role in transforming our
architectural ideas into reality. Your responsibilities will include:
Collaborating with team leaders and other team members to develop technical
solutions for design challenges.
• Preparing detailed drawings and specifications.
• Ensuring compliance with building regulations and sustainability standards.
• Using the latest technology to create innovative and efficient designs.
• Contributing to the successful delivery of projects from inception to
completion.

We are Looking For:

• A qualified Architectural Technologist with at least 3-5 years of experience in
the field.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software which we enable a transition to
Vectorworks, and other relevant design tools.
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of current building regulations and construction methods.
• A passion for sustainable design and a commitment to creating
environmentally responsible buildings.

Part One Architectural Assistant – Leeds Office

Location: Leeds Office Based

HTC Architects are seeking a Part One Architectural Assistant to join its growing team in Leeds.

Your Role:

As a Part One Architectural Assistant, you will play a vital role in preparation of and compiling drawn information as requested by the design team leaders. Completing drawings for the following: Planning packs and feasibility studies. Assist in the coordination of tasks to meet project deadlines.

• To assist with the design and presentation of feasibility and planning stage projects.
• Understand key RIBA work stages and participate and become involved with production information.
• A Part One mentor will be assigned to assist with completion of PEDRs and your year out obligations.

This is an ideal opportunity to obtain year out experience within a busy practice. Key tasks Preparation of and compiling drawn information as requested by the design team leaders.

We are Looking For:

• Good organisational and negotiation skills.
• Keen interest and insight into Building Information Modelling is an advantage.
• Good design & drawing skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Vectorworks knowledge preferred but not essential as training given.
• Excellent IT skills
• Strong teamwork and commercial awareness
• Excellent communication skills, written and oral, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of other
professionals.

Senior Architectural Technologist – Leeds Office

Location: Leeds Office Based / Hybrid

HTC Architects are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Architectural Technologist with a technology degree RIBA or MCIAT who is looking to progress in their career. You will be coordinating and job running projects immediately. Working mainly on Commercial and Retail projects. They will be working on and will include conception and technical design, development and detailing, construction technology.

Your Role:

As a Senior Architectural Technologist, you will play a vital role in transforming our architectural ideas into reality. Your responsibilities will include:

• Meet with other professionals and potentially clients at an early stage to agree on and develop the project brief
• Contribute to planning applications and other regulatory application procedures
• Identify the surveys (e.g., land surveys) required before work can commence, ensuring they are undertaken, and
their results are fed into the project
• Develop project briefs and work on these as the project progresses
• Prepare and present design proposals using computer-aided design (CAD) and other design software, as well
as traditional drawing methods
• Lead the detailed design process and coordinate design information
• Liaise with appropriate authorities (e.g., planning enquiries and building inspectors) when producing
documentation for statutory approval
• Produce, analyse and advise on detailed specifications for suitable materials or processes to be used
• Carry out design-stage risk assessments
• Evaluate and advise on refurbishment, re-use, recycling and deconstruction.

We are Looking For:

• leadership skills and a willingness to take on responsibility
• good communication skills, as interaction with other professionals, authorities and clients occurs frequently
• the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and assist other staff members
• Principle Designer and CDM knowledge
