Brew Monday 2026

Today at HTC Architects we are celebrating #BrewMonday – an initiative devised by the Samaritans to combat ‘Blue Monday’ (the third Monday of January every year). 💙💙

The initiative is designed to tackle the sadness often felt by many on this date, through supporting the sharing of a brew together – with colleagues, friends or family. ☕☕

January can be a hard month for many, especially coming off the back of the festive season, with short days, a lengthy distance between paydays and the wintery drop in temperatures all compounding to make today perhaps feel particularly difficult. 🧡🧡

We’re encouraging all staff at HTC to grab a cupper and a friend to share some time checking in. Whether in the office at Leeds in our cozy staff room or at its London counterpart – perhaps for a trip out to a café, or at home in the kitchen with family or a quick call with a friend, we think it is a perfect opportunity to make some time for ourselves this January. ☺️☺️

Mondays can be difficult anyway, so if we can all find little ways to ease the January blues with a bit of positivity from chatting to those you care about this winter! ❄️❄️
