Peter is a registered architect, a chartered member of the Royal Institute of British Architects, a member of the Association of Consultant Architects. He qualified in 1992 and on graduating he worked for one of Leeds oldest leading practices established in 1880 and worked for blue chip clients including BHS, Schuzler, DePuy. Peter is one of the founding partners and his experience covers most of the services we offer. Peter has held various external posts such as quinquennial inspector for the diocese of Wakefield and a visiting tutor at local schools of architecture.

While in practice he has worked on many building types including retail, Industrial, owner occupier processes, food manufacturing, waste process and transfer, residential, offices, commercial buildings as well as development consultancy. Peter is the Group Managing Director looking after the day-to-day management and strategic growth of the practice and business development.

Peter lives in the East Yorkshire where he enjoys keeping bees collecting whisky and often visits Scotland with his Wife and their dog Tess.

David Wainwright is a driving force behind HTC Architects’ Industrial and Logistics team. With over 15 years of experience and a passion for innovative design, David has helped shape projects that combine functionality with architectural excellence.

Starting his journey with HTC as a graduate in 2007, David’s commitment and creativity saw him rise through the ranks—Associate in 2013, Senior Associate in 2017, and Director in 2023. Today, as a Director, he leads with a vision for sustainable, future-ready spaces that meet the evolving needs of clients.

David holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Huddersfield and has worked across commercial, retail, residential, and industrial sectors. His approach is rooted in collaboration, ensuring every project delivers value and quality.

Matt graduated from Huddersfield University with a degree in Architectural Technology. He started his career working in Sheffield before joining the practice in 2000. Matt was promoted to associate in 2009 and the senior associate in 2013 he became a director of the practice in October 2023. Matt became a group board director in January 25.

While in practice he has worked on many building types including Retail stores, Industrial, Owner occupier developments and Mixed use. Matt is the Director leading the Retail team.

Tim Godsmark is a registered architect, a Chartered member of the Royal Institute of British Architects, a member of the Association of Consultant Architects and a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Chartered Architects. He completed his architectural studies in 1988 on graduating was shortlisted for the RIBA Silver Medal. He qualified as a registered architect in 1989. After qualifiying he worked for several leading practices including Denys Ladun, Peter Softley and Associates, BPTW LLP, Allies and Morrison and Ryder. He set up in practice as Godsmark Architecture in 2002 trading for 21 years before merging with HTC Architects in 2023. He is the regional director running the London office.

While in practice he has worked on many building types including residential, domestic, public and leisure buildings, shops and restaurants, offices and other commercial buildings.

Tim lives in the City of London’s square mile with his family.
