Accrington Academy

A new detatched 10,000 sqft building housing a 25m long x 12.5m wide (six lane) swimming pool, 150 spectator seats, changing facilities and reception area. This facility is for use by a local swimming club and other schools in the area as well as the Academy. It ranges in depth from 1m to 1.8m to allow for both competition swimming and varying levels of swimming lessons. The development is highly energy efficient including many heat recovery features and a large array of photo-voltaic and solar thermal panels.
