Micro Home Competition

Earlier this year, some of the team at HTC Architects submitted their design to the Micro Home Competition ran by Architecture Competitions // Buildner, in collaboration with building materials manufacturer Kingspan Group.

Nadia Luhar, Jacob Bevan-Howarth, George Sands and Kieran Ashton designed a beautiful hexagonal structure to for fill the brief of an off-grid modular dwelling for a hypothetical young professional couple, with a total floor area not exceeding 25 square meters.

With the global housing crisis intensifying, rising property costs and insufficient housing supply are affecting millions. Urban areas growing and environmental concerns consequently increasing, there is a pressing need for affordable, sustainable, and compact housing solutions, and we’re excited at HTC Architects to be part of designing said solutions! ✏️✏️
